NEET 2025 Counselling: The official schedule for NEET 2025 counselling has been released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on its official website. The first few rounds of NEET 2025 counselling are being conducted in online mode. However, in the last round of counselling, candidates will have to report physically to the institute to which they have been allotted for document verification and the admission process. The counselling for NEET 2025 was started after the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET 2025 result on June 14, 2025.
NEET 2025 Counselling Round 3 began on September 29, 2025. The last date to apply for the round is October 5, 2025. The choice filling window for the round opened on September 30, 2025. It will close on October 5, 2025. The Round 3 seat allotment result will be released on October 8, 2025. The process of reporting to the institute will be from October 9 to October 17, 2025.
In all, there will be a total of four rounds for NEET 2025 counselling. It may be extended to more rounds, if necessary, depending upon the availability of seats. The complete counselling process will conclude on November 5, 2025.
The NEET 2025 Counselling process consists of two types, namely All India Quota (AIQ) counselling and State Quota counselling. 15% seats in the government colleges are allotted for the counselling at the AIQ level, and 85% seats are kept for the state quota candidates. The entire counselling process is online and includes online registration, online choice filling, online seat allotment, and reporting in the allotted colleges. NEET 2025 Counselling also contains separate processes for reserved categories, foreign nationals, and NRI candidates.

Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2025 exam by achieving the minimum cutoff percentiles as follows:
General category: 50th percentile and above
SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile and above
PwD: 45th percentile and above.
The minimum age to be eligible for NEET counselling is 17 years by 31st December 2025. There is no maximum age limit for NEET admissions.
Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
Candidates from the General category must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their qualifying examinations. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) must have at least 40% aggregate marks in their qualifying exams.
Candidates must meet the domicile requirements set by the respective state counselling authorities for eligibility for state quota seats. This is typically demonstrated by proof of residence or educational qualifications obtained from the state.
Candidates who have appeared for their Class 12th exams in 2025 are eligible to apply and participate in the counselling process on a provisional basis until they have cleared their board exams.
There are special eligibility rules and counselling quotas for candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, which may exempt them from participating in AIQ counselling and make them eligible for counselling through their state quota.
Deemed universities, central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and other central government-funded institutions have their own counselling eligibility requirements. These are managed through MCC as well, and candidates must adhere to their specific criteria.

NEET Counselling 2025 is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Here is how to register for NEET Counselling 2025.
Step 1: Visit the Official MCC Website: Visit the official MCC counselling website: mcc.nic.in.

Step 8: Download and Print Confirmation: Download and print the confirmation page for your future reference after successful registration and payment of the fee.
The reservation policy for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) undergraduate seats (MBBS/BDS) through NEET 2025 counselling has been issued by the Government of India. The policy mentions 27% reservation for Other Backwards Classes (OBC) - Non-Creamy Layer and 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
