NEET UG Result 2026 Declared: 11.21 Lakh Candidates Qualify, Scorecard Available at neet.nta.nic.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the NEET UG 2026 Result on 16 July 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now download their scorecards from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

According to the official announcement, nearly 20 lakh students appeared for the entrance examination conducted on 21 June 2026. Out of them, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses across India. The result was released within the scheduled timeline to ensure that counselling and admissions begin without delay.

NEET UG Result 2026 Highlights

The examination was conducted across 5,440 examination centres in 551 cities in India and 14 international cities in 13 languages, allowing candidates from every State and Union Territory to participate.

2. Click on NEET UG 2026 Result.

3. Enter the application number and date of birth or password.

4. Submit the details.

5. Download and print the scorecard for future counselling.

NEET UG 2026 Toppers

This year, 138 candidates scored more than 690 marks out of 720.

Key statistics include:

• Highest score: 715/720

• Joint toppers:

• Aryan Gupta (Punjab)

• Panshul Bansal (Haryana)

• 19 candidates scored above 700.

• 1,492 candidates scored 650 or higher.

• 10,160 candidates scored above 600.

• 90,780 candidates secured 500 or more marks.

More than 93% of the candidates scoring above 690 were first-time NEET aspirants, and almost all top performers belonged to the 17–19 years age group.

State-wise Performance

Qualified candidates were recorded from all 36 States and Union Territories.

The top 17 national rank holders came from eight states:

A total of 17 State toppers scored 700 or above, while 26 scored more than 690.

NTA has also released category-wise qualification figures.

The official category-wise cutoff marks and qualifying percentiles have also been published.

Women Candidates Perform Strongly

Women accounted for more than 58% of all qualified candidates in NEET UG 2026.

The qualification rate among women was 56.8%, compared with 55.1% for men, according to NTA's official data.

NEET UG 2026 Result Timeline

NTA completed the evaluation process within the announced schedule.

The agency stated that parallel processing and changes to the evaluation workflow helped release the results on time.

NEET UG 2026 Counselling

After the declaration of results, qualified candidates can participate in counselling.

• Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for the All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats.

• State counselling authorities manage admissions under their respective state quotas.

• NTA advises candidates to rely only on official counselling websites and avoid fraudulent calls or websites offering admissions or score improvements.
